Charlie Melia:-


Charlie is currently CEO and Director of Cloud software company Profitsflow.com. He is also Director of Sales and marketing with Training firm Profits.ie.


Charlie started his working career in the Hotel and catering field. Qualifying with a degree in Hotel and Catering Management he went on to manage many different properties from small hotels like the Stillorgan Park in Dublin through to large Urban properties such as the Tremont House and the Westin Hotel Copley place in Boston USA, an 800 room property. Along the way he was brought in to setup and run the first of chain of Irish themed Bars in the city of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. The focus here was setting up procedures that could be introduced in subsequent properties in the chain. From he’s experience in Hotels it wasn’t a huge leap to take over the operation of several commercial and residential buildings owned by one investment company.


The constant theme that as run through all the positions Charlie has held is that systems were paramount. No matter what was done, the success must be repeatable. Charlie has designed and implemented systems for Sales, customer service, marketing and cold-calling in all of the locations he has managed and ran.


Upon returning to Ireland he has taken his love of the systematic approach to his next endeavour which was the setting up an organisation which would teach others to systemise their operations. With Tadhg Henderson his business partner Profits.ie was born. Profits.ie is a business training entity that has practical applicable training at its heart. It is not about unrealistic academic qualification. It’s about real world, coal face training that has an immediate positive impact on how an organisation goes about its day to day operations.


At Profitsflow.com Charlie is CEO and director of Sales and Marketing. He’s responsibilities extend over the Irish, UK and USA business that Profitsflow.com enjoys. Tripling growth year on year and heading for another triple digit growth of the coming year, Charlie is no stranger to the rigors that the current economic climate brings. Profitsflow.com is a cloud CRM software provider to multiple industries including, Hospitality, Manufacturing, Childcare, Professional Services, Distribution and Retail.
